Dear HSM Parents,
Welcome to our May Newsletter! In the beginning of each month we send out all the information that is going on within YOCF. Make sure to stay connected to our instagram @yoyoyocf for updates! Check out down below our plans for the coming weeks and the ways we will be connecting with each other, daily, weekly, and upcoming events!
We are back on Sunday Nights! We meet every Sunday at 5pm-6:30pm for youth group. We play games, worship, teach, and discuss! We hope to see your student there!
Our Life Groups are our mid-week meetings that are off campus and in homes. We have a Wednesday and Thursday night option for our girls and our guys. Check below for the addresses and leaders for each of the groups.
YOCF has a lot of exciting events coming up this month as summer is approaching! More information on each specific event will be down below, but here is a quick overview of what we have going on for the month of May!
May 15th is the last life group! The next two. Wednesday nights are group events so this will be the last opportunity for your life groups to get together. The 22nd is our worship night, which is lead by our high schoolers. This will go from 6-8 and will be held in the auditorium. The 26th is our promotion Sunday, which is when we celebrate and move our 5th graders, 8th graders, and seniors to their next stage of life with the whole church! Lastly, Wednesday, the 29th is our senior barbecue, where we send off our seniors, this is also a great opportunity for the 8th graders, who are invited, to get to know some of our high schoolers.
Two other dates to keep in mind are June 5th, as is the start of our summer beach nights and June 2nd, our first summer Sunday! On June 5th, we invite families to join students on the beach to kick us off, and from there it will be weekly, specifically for the youth only. June 2nd acts as our kickoff to summer Sundays, where middle school as well as high school are combined, and breakfast is provided.
- "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace."
Acts 20:24
With Much Love,
